
PhD in Business Administration-Finance from Universidade de Sao Paulo, Brazil. Researcher and Head of the Center for Entrepreneurship and SMEs (CEMP) at the Faculty of Economics and Administration (FACEA), Universidad Católica del Norte (UCN), Antofagasta, Chile. Her research area is Formal and Informal Venture Capital, particularly Angel Investing in Latin American countries, and Entrepreneurship. She has published articles in various mainstream journals, as well as book chapters in Chile and abroad. She is main researcher of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor – GEM Antofagasta and the Global University Entrepreneurial Student’s Spirit Survey- GUESSS Chile project as well as main researcher of the National Fund for Science and Technology project on the Geography of Entrepreneurship in Chile and co-investigator in the projects of the same fund on Mining Culture and Masculinity and Employment projection of women in Chilean Mining. She is also member of the Board of the Fundación Minera Escondida. She has always been linked to the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Antofagasta Region and, in the last ten years, he has been leading projects aimed at creating a regional angel investors network to finance high-impact projects in the Northern Macro Zone in Chile. Among these projects stands out “Creation of a Culture of Venture Capital” financed by CORFO in 2015, and currently, the program “Investment Readiness for Entrepreneurs and Investors” financed by the Fund for Innovation and Regional Competitiveness, FIC-R.
